To the youths, do you think you are too young to be a saint? St. Dominic Savio is the youngest saint of his time that Catholic Church has ever declared who is not a martyr. These are based on his heroic virtue, character and his exceptional goodness.

St. Dominic Savio came from a humble family. Both his parents taught him about Jesus, Mary, and also how to pray. At the age of 12, Dominic Savio entered  St. John Bosco’s oratory and expressed his deep desire to be_come a saint struck by the words give me souls take away the rest (Da mihi animas caetera tolle) Don Bosco journeyed with him to holiness.

The feast of St. Dominic Savio is celebrated on 6th May. Dominic Savio is the patron saint of Bosco Boys Langata being a model of virtue for the teenagers.

Savio Center was the name given to our reception house, since it houses the young boys from the streets of Nairobi before they are brought to Bosco Boys Kuwinda to proceed with their studies.

This year the, we celebrated in a special way as a family trying to live the virtues that Dominic Savio lived. At the holy Eucharist, the boys were taught how to imitate Dominic.

The celebration continued in the field with a lot of fun and joy.  We all gathered at Langata for this celebrations.  The activities were officiated by Fr. Pinto SDB, and other staffs. Every one had fun. It depicted the joy that the young saint pours in our hearts, when we see the Salesian Priest and Brothers partaking in the same activities with the boys. Thanks to Fr. Chege Erastus  SDB and the brothers for showing their love in the playground.
